Tilt hitch
Angle the bucket without repositioning the machine. It is the thing customers mention first, and it is what makes batter work, drains and clean-ups quick.

Tilt hitch, augers, a rock breaker and a full bucket set, all on the trailer. Shane brings it out, you get the job done, he comes and collects it. No tickets required.

The machine and everything that comes with it.
KSM runs a 1.7 tonne Wacker Neuson EZ17 with a tilt hitch, and keeps the attachments to match it. Small enough to get down the side of a house, heavy enough to cut a proper trench. It arrives on its own tandem trailer, so all you need is somewhere to put it.
You are not hiring a bare machine and then chasing buckets. The attachments travel on the trailer with it.

150 mm, 300 mm and 450 mm bits available. Post holes, pier holes, fence lines and tree planting, bored clean and plumb.
Hydraulic hammer for the ground that will not budge. Shale, old concrete, rock shelf and stubborn footings.
300 mm and 450 mm general purpose buckets for trenching, footings and services.
Wide and flat for batter work, levelling, backfilling and tidying a site up at the end.
For breaking up compacted ground and hard clay before you dig it.

Shane’s answer: yes it can.
That photo is the auger boring pier holes under a verandah, roof still on. A 1.7 tonne machine goes through a standard gate, works down the side of a house and turns in its own length. It is the size most jobs around a home or a shed actually need, and a lot less damage to your lawn than something bigger.
KSM is Shane, his machine and his trailer. You deal with the person who owns it, which is why the reviews keep using the word easy.

Tell him the job and how long you want the machine. No appointment needed, and he answers his own phone on 0439 763 734.
Delivery and pickup are part of the service, so you do not need a truck or a licence to tow it. Ask for the delivery fee when you enquire.
No tickets required to run it on your own place. If you have never operated one, Shane offers operator training so you start off right.
Flexible on pickup and drop-off times. Rental plans get tailored to how long the job actually takes.
I recently rented an excavator from KSM Excavations Hire for a 4-day project, and the entire experience was excellent. The equipment was in great condition, easy to operate, and performed flawlessly throughout the job. The rental process was smooth. I'd definitely rent from them again and would recommend their services to anyone needing reliable excavation equipment.
I used an excavator from ksm excavations and it was such an easy process. Shane was very easy to deal with and he dropped off and picked up the excavator as well. I will definitely be using again! Thanks Shane!

KSM Excavations is run by Shane out of Old Junee, just north of Junee. He bought the machine, he maintains it, and he is the one who turns up with it. That is the whole business.
In his own words the job is quick and easy equipment hire: rental plans built around how long your project actually runs, the machine delivered on time so you are not standing about, and the gear looked after so it works when it gets there.
